Joe Pascoe

 

Joe Pascoe has held a number of leadership positions in the arts and has sat at both ends of the board table. Joe is currently CEO & Artistic Director of Craft Victoria and held management roles at the Australia Council, Shepparton Art Gallery, Arts Victoria and Geelong Art Gallery. He has also been chair of NETS Victoria, deputy president of the Regional Galleries Association of Victoria and deputy chair of the Victoria Centre for the Conservation of Cultural Materials.  

 

 

 

  Emma Bennison

Emma Bennison has recently been appointed as CEO of Arts Access Australia. Emma is the first person with disability to lead the organisation, following the departure of her predecessor, Kate Larsen, who stepped down because she believed that an organisation advocating for the rights of people with disability should be disability-led. Prior to this appointment, Emma spent eight years working in various roles at Access Arts, Queensland’s peak arts and disability organisation and in various Government roles before this. In addition to being a passionate advocate for the rights of artists with disability, Emma is also a singer, pianist and song-writer with a bachelor of Music from the university of Queensland. 

 

 

  Karilyn Brown

Karilyn Brown is currently General Manager at the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies in addition to being the Independent Chair for PATA, a strategic alliance of producers, presenters, programmers and tour coordinators involved in facilitating national touring for the performing arts. Her career has included 20 years with the Australia Council for the Arts, including as Deputy Director, Visual Arts and Crafts Board (1988-1994) and as Executive Director, Arts Development (2001-2009), responsible for national and international audience and market development strategies.  Karilyn’s other positions have included Program Manager for the 1997-2000 Olympic Arts Festivals and Paralympic Arts Festival programs with the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games; and Manager, Cultural Policy at the City of Sydney. 

 

 

 

 

  Andrea Lewis

Andrea Lewis is Coordinator of Communications and Publishing at DADAA, a community arts and cultural development organisation based in Fremantle, Western Australia. Andrea works collaboratively with Natalie Georgeff, who compiled the surveys for the Art Works research. Andrea is also a freelance writer in the arts, health and higher education sectors. 

 

 

 

 

 

 Esther Anatolitis

 

Esther Anatolitis is Director of Regional Arts Victoria and Co-Curator of Architecture+Philosophy and has sat at both ends of the board table. Chrissy Dwyer

 

Chrissy Dwyer is a contemporary Acrylic Painter living in Brisbane Australia. She is a qualified Visual Arts Teacher with a Graduate Diploma of Education and currently works as the Education and Professional Development Program Coordinator at Flying Arts Alliance Inc. Chrissy is a previous management committee member for the Artist-Run-Initiative, Cell Arts Space and she exhibits frequently in group exhibitions and competitions. In addition to having feature articles published in Artist Palette and Australian Artist Magazine, Chrissy is also the creator of Arty Crafty Studio an online learning resource for artists. 

 

 

 

 

David Fishel

 

David Fishel is a Director of both Positive Solutions and BoardConnect. He is author of The Book of the Board and Boards That Work, has undertaken business planning/ development projects and has delivered training in board development, leadership and strategic planning.  David has been on the board of several cultural organisations. He is currently a board member of BoardConnect and Chair of Brisbane Writers Festival.
